BPSC Mains Only One Optional Bihar Cabinet Gives Nod

PATNA: The state cabinet approved the changes in the existing joint examination procedure of the civil services examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). Instead of two optional papers, it will be now only one optional paper for the main examination of 300 marks.

In the main examination, instead of two optional, it would now be only optional paper of total 300 marks. Now the general studies paper would be of total 600 marks instead of earlier 200 marks.

The total marks for the main examination would be now 1020 marks instead of existing 1350.

The total marks for the interview would now be only 120 marks instead of 150.

The candidates would be selected 10 times more for the main examination against the total sanctioned posts.
