PATNA: BPSC 53td- 55th combined civil services examination seems to have trapped under acute legal crisis as after mains moderation saga now the preliminary examination result is new flash point.

BPSC follows three stage reservation processes in the civil services examination that provides more than one opportunity to get benefit under reserved category which is the violation of Supreme Court directive in reservation.

BPSC 53rd -55th preliminary examination results was based on the separate cut off marks for different category which was the main contention for the candidates who thinks it was the violation of their right.

Hearing into the matter Justice was in the minds that additional result to be declared at the lowest cut off, however the advocate of commission has said the examination process is at their conclusion as mains and interview has already concluded but if court will direct then commission will release the supplementary result and held their mains and interview thereafter and then only final result will be released.

Responding to the argument petitioner council has emphasized that mains result to be scraped and fresh examination will be held.

Justice has given one week time to both the party and next hearing will be on 29th July.

If above judgment will be pronounced then examination process will further delays by more than 10 month because more than 10000 students could make in the mains examination if fresh pt result will be released based on lowest cut off.

Government must understand that a student from rural background generally completes its graduation in the age of 24-25 and on one hand the governement wants mature candidates for civil services and on the other hand it is reducing the age limit for the civil services examination. Both the things can't happen simultaneously and this was the BJP, who opposed the move of UPA government in the favour of rural background students and supported the student agitation against CSAT and this time when BJP is in power, doing the same thing like UPA government. By reducing the age limit for the civil services government is showing its is double faced. There is no difference between UPA governemnt and BJP government.
