Evergreen revolution is conceptualized by eminent figure M.S. SWAMINATHAN. It lays emphasis on multi-dimension integrated agricultural revolution which includes perfect infusion of farming, horticulture, animal husbandry and aquatic farming as well.

In order to uplift the lower strata of rural household and induct them into the main channel of rational SOCIO-ECONOMIC sustainability, focus shall be on the pro-poor and pro-women integration and empowerment.

India is agro-based driven economy where majority of population depends upon small farm size holding (0.5 hector approx) per household on an average. So, the challenge lies on the upliftment of this class as they don’t seem to be much benifitted with green-revolution.

However, the ever green revolution will focus on the diversification of agri-basket including shift towards the production of pulses, soil seeds, milk and boost to the backyard farming or domestic animal rearing.

Small holder family farms will not only help to integrate themselves to the mainstream of economic growth story but also empower the members of family as the concept is diversified and has trodden ambient.

THREATS AND CHALLENGES FAMILY FARMS FACE

CLIMATIC CHALLENGES: Irregular uneven rainfall and other weather problems.

CREDIT ISSUE: Still the small farmers are not aware of the government soft loans available to them because of unawareness.

HEALTH, PESTICIDE AND TECHNOLOGY: Health issue pulls them in vicious cycle of poverty which effects their efficiency and ability to generate output from their agricultural activity. Small farmers can not opt for mechanisation and can not effectively reap the technologically driven benifit as such.

Well based on the complexity of questions from constitution, Current affairs, Science and economics ....with an additional option E, it can be said that CUT O FF for General Should be around 80-82....Even many other site including VISION IAS has also speculated the cut off around 84 for General !!

by Surovi

ye jo log 90-92 ki baaten kar rahen unhe khud pata nahi ki what is the right answer for all question. No website has so far given correct solution for all question. I agree with surovi. Th cut off this time should go even lower than last year around 82-84 for general!!
