Gallstones are "stones" that form in the gallbladder or bile ducts. The common types of gallstones are cholesterol, black pigment and brown pigment,

Cholesterol gallstones occur more frequently in several group of people are mainly linked with female gender, obesity, rapid loss of weight, elevated blood triglyceride levels, pregnancy, oral hormonal therapy and Crohn's disease.

Black pigment gallstones forms when there is increased destruction of red blood cells, and brown pigment gallstones forms when there is slow flow and infection of bile.

Most of the time gallstones do not cause serious symptoms.

The most common symptoms of gallstones are biliary colic and cholecystitis. Gallstones do not lead intolerance to fatty diet, belching, abdominal distention, or gas.

Complications include cholangitis, gangrene, jaundice, pancreatitis, sepsis, fistula, and ileus.

Gallbladder sludge is linked with symptoms and complications of gallstones; however, like gallstones, sludge usually does not cause deficulties.

The tests to diagnosing gallstones is transabdominal ultrasonography,endoscopic ultrasonography, magnetic resonance cholangio-pancreatography (MRCP), liver and pancreatic blood tests,cholescintigraphy (HIDA scan), duodenal drainage,endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP), oral cholecystogram (OCG), and intravenous cholangiogram (IVC).

My score is 224 and I am a General candidate. So what would I expect?

As per the Polyeyes prediction, the difference of marks between UR and SC is very small .A gap ofonly 10 marks or 5 questions.In the 5th JPSC PT exam,his gap was of 34 marks or 17 questions without any change in SC seats and number of candidates appeared.

Cut off for UR should be 190-204 marks.

The cut-off will be between 225-235 for unreserved category.
