IIM Indore’s 5 year integrated management program course is the 1st expedition of its kind taken by an IIM for undergraduates. Students can seek direct admission into the course after they have passed the 10+2 examination. The program imparts 3+2 years of diploma in management studies. IIM Indore claims that such a pioneering initiative was designed to fulfill the aspirations of teens and youths. Launched in the year 2011, the eligibility criteria for this course is a minimum 60% in the 10+2 examination. However, candidates have to prepare themselves for a difficult test and interview.
Candidates need to have cleared their 12th standard/ higher secondary/ +2 level or any other equivalent exam from a recognized state or central board. Candidates need to secure a minimum of 60% or score 1600 out of an aggregate total of 2400.
The percentage secured by candidates in the +2 exam is calculated on the basis of the procedures followed by concerned board. It is mandatory to submit the attested copies of the mark sheets, passing certificates, grade sheets etc.
Procedure for seeking admission
The candidates overall performance in the personal interview round and the aptitude test determine their selection. Let us take a detailed look at the admission process.
Candidates who fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria are called to appear for (AT) aptitude test at one of their centers. This is followed by personal interviews. Ultimately the final selection is made on the basis if the candidate’s performance in the personal interview round and the aptitude test round.
Pattern followed for aptitude test
The aptitude test consists of objective type questions. Sample pattern is made available to the entrants beforehand. The paper is divided into two broad fragments – Verbal ability and quantitative ability. The 100 questions need to be completed within 120 minutes (2 hours). Each right question is given 4 marks; however 1 mark negative marking is given for every wrong answer.
Criteria followed for short listing
Also, candidates with non-negative raw scores are deemed fit to be short listed for the personal interview round. The criterion applied for personal interview round is 40% in the verbal ability section and 60% in the quantitative ability section.
This is based on the candidate’s overall performance in the aptitude test as well as in the personal interview round. The weightage used for the final selection criteria is 60 % in the aptitude test and 40 % in the personal interview round. IIM Indore notifies all selected candidates.
