LuckyGrahak Yojana And Digi Dhan Mela, Key Initiatives By Central Government To Boast Cashless Transactions

A Digi Dhan Mela programme was organized at the Talkatora Stadium in Delhi to make people aware about digital transactions.Grahak Yojana for consumers and Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana for merchants will encourage merchants to promote cashless exchange of money.

The 'DigiDhan Abhiyan' aims to cover 2 lakh common service centers (CSCs) across rural areas and enable them to become digital financial education centers.

The event will be organized in 100 cities in next 100 days till April 14, 2017.

Union minister Arun Jaitely and Ravi Shankar Prasad inaugurated the first draw of lots in Delhi.

Presiding Body: National Payment Corporation of India acts as an umbrella organization for all retail payment systems in India promoting a cashless economy, founded in 2008, a non-profit organization registered under section 25 of Companies act. It is promoted by RBI.

Provisions:

  • The winners will be selected on a daily and weekly basis.
  • The buyers and sellers using digital payment option will be eligible for a cashback of Rs 1000.
  • As per the scheme, the practice will be continued for 100 days.
  • Only transactions made using RuPay cards, USSD, UPI and AEPS are eligible for these schemes.

Conclusion: In these fairs, there will be booths and help centers put by banks and other shareholders where people can get digital payment mobile phone applications downloaded and will be initiated to the whole process of digital payment. This will boast the participation of people moving faster towards cashless society.

i have scored 91 as per the answer keys ,any chance for mains genral category

i am scoring 90 according to bpsc answer key.i belong to gen category . i have challenged 5 questions(LPG,KING KHARWELA,UNFCCC,PARTICULATE MATTER,AND SEAT OF AN MP).please tell me whether i should focus on mains.this is because upsc pre is scheduled on 18 june and currently facing dilemma regarding allocation of time.please reply as it will be helpful during last hours of preparation
