Phytotherapy deals with the study of natural extracts of plants to get health promoting agents and also for medicines. It is just different from other studied of medicines like Homeopathy and others. The medicines are not extracting directly from the plants. But, many times these are clinically checked for the perfectness.

Scientific methods are used in modern therapy and to make these medicines perfect in every aspect. Thus, you can easily get that some countries which are unable to import medicines currently for some serious disease can easily prepare some exact medicine using Phytotherapy. The bark of cinchona tree is one of them and can easily be used for a common and serious disease Malaria.

But, quality of medicines depends on the soil, species of the plants along with some other factors like climate, sunlight, time of harvesting, storage condition, post harvesting as well as Organleptic factors.
