IAS 2014 Notification Is Knocking Shortly

DELHI: As per the UPSC IAS 2014 Notification, CSAT i.e. Civil Services Aptitude Test is expected to be of a qualifying nature and cut off of prelims will be decided by the performance is GS paper. Well, this is still not official notification, it’s only an assumption. The official notification of the Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2014 will be announced on 17th May, 2014. Till then keep waiting for the exact changes for the IAS 2014.

The examination process of UPSC will be completed in three steps, i.e. prelims, mains and finally interview. The preliminary exam will be the gateway for the mains exam. The dates of UPSC 2014 have been declared, the prelims will be held on 24th August, 2014 and the duration of the exam will be one day. The results of prelims exam are expected to be disclosed sometime in the month of October. Commencement date of Mains exam is 14th December, 2014 and the duration of exam will be 5 days.

As far as paper pattern is concerned, prelims will be objective type exam conducted with the intention of screening test for the mains exam. This exam consists of two papers, i.e. G.S. paper and the Aptitude test. Mains exam consists of nine written exams of 250 marks each that assesses the overall intellectual traits and deepness of understanding of candidates.
