MUMBAI: Most of the Indian newspapers are claiming that IPL 7 matches might not held in India, due to LokSabha elections. BCCI is considering few outside options including South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. LokSabha elections are expected by the same months in which IPL matches are conducted. Due to various security threats, it is quite possible that officials of BCCI select some other destination for this series.

If you are one of those who want to get updates about IPL 7 Live Score, then you will have to show some patience. The Indian Express has published a report in the newspaper that Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are the most considering options by BCCI. In 2009, BCCI had faced many security risks for conducting IPL2 in India and it was enforced to select some other destination. But, it will be too early to finalize a country unless it is announced by the officials of BCCI, as it was not in anybody’s mind that South Africa would be chosen for IPL2 tournament. 

An official of BCCI has given in an interview in which he said that this picture would remain clear and confusing until the exact dates for LokSabha elections are announced. He further added that BCCI had faced same situation in 2009, when general elections were polling in India, and BCCI was enforced to select South Africa. There were many security threats that are also expected during the LokSabha elections. So, BCCI would have to consider all aspects and it will be able to announce the schedules just after the confirmation of election dates.

The official of BCCI in an interview said that it is not possible to announce the IPL 7 schedule and destination. Though, there is no confusion on their side, but they would have to consider this matter seriously. After election dates confirmation, BCCI will be at the position to determine whether some matches can be played in India, or any other country should be selected for whole series.

Due to these reason, BCCI will announce the schedule for IPL 7 as polling dates for LokSabha elections are confirmed. The lovers of IPL cricket will have to show patience in this regard, but they could expect that IPL 7 schedule will be announced as election dates are confirmed. But, it will be announced so earlier and BCCI will avoid to keep this announcement pending. 

IPL matches are conducted in the months of May and June, and it is quite possible that same months are chosen for LokSabha elections. BCCI is aware of security risks during such elections, due to which, the destination will be selected that could meet all requirements of IPL tournament.

Some newspapers are not considering South Africa as a serious option, because of bad relationship between the officials of CSA and BCCI. But, an official of BCCI has ignored this point and he mentioned South Africa as a favorite option for conducting IPL outside India.

Due to LokSabha elections in India, latest media reports claim that IPL 7 matches can be expected in two phases- in India and outside. But it will totally depend upon the situations, and it is quite possible that all matches are played outside India.
