RANCHI: Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has framed its revamped syllabus for the Civil services examination.
The PT examination will be held on the pattern of UPSC CSAT pattern from sixth civil service examination
According to the latest syllabus there will not be any optional paper in the mains examination. The optional are replaced by one language paper and five General studies paper .
The new syllabus will be effective from the 6th Civil Services examination.
The latest syllabus is as follows:
The Mains Examination Shall comprise of:-
Paper-I
General Hindi (10th Standard: 50 Marks
General English (10th Standard): 50 Marks
(Descriptive 100 Marks)
It will be only a qualifying paper in which out of 100 (Combined both in Hindi & English) every candidate will have to secure only 30 marks
Thus inclusion of 50 marks General English component will not adversely impact the chance of students from Hindi /Regional Language background.
Paper-II:
Language and literature of any one of 9 regional language of Jharkhand or other six language namely, Hindi, Urdu,Sanskrit,Oriya,Bangla,English.
(Descriptive 100 Marks)
Paper III:
General Studies Paper-I (History & Geography)
(Subjective 200 Marks)
Paper IV :
General Studies Paper-II (Indian Constitution, Polity, Public Administration, Good Governance)
(Subjective 200 Marks)
Paper V:
General Studies Paper-III
(Indian Economy Globalization, Sustainable Development)
Paper-VI
General Studies -IV (General Science, Environment & Technology Development)
(Subjective 200 Marks)
Total Marks in Mains: 900
(PAPER I WILL BW QUALIFYING IN NATURE)
Personality Test: 100 Marks
Grand Total: 1000 Marks
