The natural positioning, also known as SEO ( Search Engine Optimization ), encompasses a  set of techniques and strategies. The generation of external links is the main and most important SEO strategy. Quality links help us to improve Page Rank. We can get quality inbound links from thematic directories related to our sector, with link exchange, quality content generation, press release distribution, link building, etc ...

The greater the number of links that come from other websites, the higher the score we will obtain from the search engines for positioning. However, search engines do not weigh all votes equally. It is not the same to obtain a link from a portal that has a high level of external links (carry authority) versus obtaining a link from a portal that has few inbound links. Page Rank is a metric created by the founders of Google to measure the level of link building. In conclusion, it is a ratio that takes into account the number and quality of external links that a website receives.

It is very important to measure everything related to Linkbuilding. Some metrics to take into account are the Page Rank of my website, the number of external links that point to our website, the number of domains that contain external links that point to our website, the Anchor text of the main external links that we are receiving or the quality of each of the external links that we receive.

A good way to receive external links is to register in directories. Dmoz.org is the most important, we just have to choose a category and send a suitable description There are 3 types of directories

Free Directories

There is no charge for registering. It usually takes a few days to approve and publish the link.

Payment directories :

You have to pay for each link you want to obtain. Registration prices range from 1 dollar to 50 dollars per link depending on the authority of the directory.

Reciprocal link directories:

In this type of portals, it is requested as a condition to register the link that the website that requests it, in turn, inserts a link on its website, points to the directory. In this way, an exchange of links is generated.

Tips for registering in the directories:

Do it little by little.

Getting many hit links from directories can raise alarms in search engines to penalize us. I recommend not registering more than 25 a month.

Select the appropriate category  to register

If our website fits into different categories, it is recommended to register in the category that is less collapsed.

In the description field, put a persuasive and suggestive text

Use different titles and keywords in directories.

It is not good to abuse an anchor text too much.

Register in directories manually. It is not recommended to use the super software of the moment that makes us automatically register in 500 directories. Those tools are not recommended. What advice would you add?
