Instructions:
* The questions are of equal value.

*Answer five of Questions, selecting not more than three from one section.

*Candidates are required to give their answers in their own words as far as practicable.

*All questions have been printed both Hindi and English. In case of ambiguity in Hindi version, the English version shall be considered authentic.

*Parts of the same Question must be answered together and must not be interposed between answers to other Questions.

2: Evaluate the trade and commerce in past-mauryan age.

3: Write a note on the development of literature, science and technology during the Gupta period.

4: Analyse the significant characteristics of Chola administration with special reference to its autonomous administration.

5: Discuss the various problems, in history, related to origin of Rajputas.

6: Analyse the vibrant cultural activities in peninsular India during 550-750 CE and also compare with contemporary North India.

7: Assess the contribution of saints in the development of ideological basis of Bhakti.

8:Describe the different types of Karkhana in Tughlaq period.

9: Examine the increasing importance of maritime trade of India during thirteenth to fifteenth centuries.

10: Throw light on the Deccan campaign of Alauddin Khilji and evaluate its importance.

11: Write an essay on Mughal art and architecture.
