BHOPAL: Fingers are being raised on a few faulty questions asked in Preliminary examination held on 18 February and the model answer key released by MPPSC. Almost 12 answers of general knowledge in set-A and 5 answers of set-C in the answer key released by the Commission are wrong. Candidates have registered their complaints in this regard to the Commission Chairman, The Chief Minister as well as the General Knowledge Administration Department. Candidates have threatened to boycott the examination entirely if no action is taken in this regard.

As per the candidates even the answers for the simple most questions were given wrong in the answer key. Candidates have raised allegation against the Commission that they have done such a mistake on purpose in pretext of looting the candidates. Commission has made rectification procedure a way to earn money as each candidate has to pay Rs. 100 for each objection raised by them. The model answer key has been released and candidates were asked to submit the objections within 7 days. Hence in total each candidate will be charged Rs. 100 for 17 questions that are wrongly given in the answer key in form of objection rectification.

However the aggression exhibited by students is stronger this time and they have demanded the Commission to disclose the rectified answer key at the earliest so that the faith in the Commission can be restored. Moreover candidates have also demanded that whenever answer key is released in future explanation needs to be submitted along with the answers in order to avoid such situations.

Examination Director for the Commission Dr. P C Yadav has released a circular to the students to submit their respective objections by 28 February. As per him the review committee will look into the matter once the submission is over and duly investigate, committee will release the updated answer key once everything is sorted.
