Halloween is well known as All Hallows Eve.  The origin of the word is given by the Christians. It is celebrated by western European countries as a festival of the dead. This day is celebrated as Holy days of all saints who died on that day. Turnip used in Ireland and Scotland but, North America started use Pumpkins, which was much bigger than Turnip. Since then, Pumpkin is using as Halloween. In today’s life this festival is celebrated in different ways that includes wearing different costumes of scary ghost, monsters, and skeleton. It is celebrated as children trick or treating, carving pumpkins, and going to haunted house and does haunted parties.

Halloween day celebrates by the North American, the children wear different costumes which resembles to Halloween. Children go house to house to get the candy from them on that day. Halloween costumes are traditionally modeled like monsters, ghost, skeleton, devils and many scarier. Many contemporary Protestant churches view Halloween as a fun event for children, holding events in their churches where children and their parents can dress up, play games, and get candy for free. The game trick or treats which is playing on the day of Halloween’s, is just a game for getting the candy with the tricks. Once I got too old to trick-or-treat I just dressed up, in the same scary mask as mentioned above, and lay on the front steps of our house trying to scare trick-or-treaters that ventured up to our door.

The Halloween costume stores pop up in empty store fronts each September, beckoning that $8 billion dollar business to their doors. By the time one buys the costume and all accessories, and remembers this is all for a few hours of wear, the price tag is climbing toward that $80 per person average. I know my view may not be shared by the majority, but 8 billion spent on a few hours of enjoyment. In the month of Sept and Oct, costume shops and department stores, looking for the best outfit or mask. Just like clothing or hair, Halloween costumes are susceptible to trends.

Halloween is the most published festival all over the world, everybody knows about it. Many movies, drama, cartoon serials has been published all over the world. Everyone knows Halloween as a scariest thing near than them.  American’s loved this festival as they can’t miss the decorations, candy sales and excited children running around. Costumes, pumpkins, scary treats, decorations, friends and more are all a part of the Halloween fun!

Thousands of local children celebrated Halloween by piling into the North America, going from store to store comparing costumes and collecting candy. With door to door trick or treating discouraged due to the conditions, on the place where children comes from across the area and filling their bags with sugary sweets. North America compiled a photo gallery of the event above. If you have a photo of your children celebrating Halloween last night upload it to the article and share it with the community. We will publish your image as celebrating this festival.
