MUMBAI: If you waiting for IPL 7 tournament to be held in India, then you need to acknowledge latest updates. In India, LokSabha elections are expected in the same months when IPL matches are conducted. There are hot stories in various newspapers that IPL 7 matches might not held in India. In this regard, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and South Africa counties are considered as the hot favorite options, if matches need to be played outside.

Some days ago, The Indian Express” has claimed on base of a report that IPL 7 tournament will be conducted outside India. South Africa, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are considered as the hot favorite options, if matches require to be played outside India. The same situation was happened in 2009, when general elections were expected in India, and BCCI had to announce South Africa as a hosting country for IPL 2 tournament. In 2009, it was not expected by anybody that South Africa would be chosen, but BCCI had to take this decision due to various security threats in India. So, the IPL 7 Live Score will be available to all cricket lovers as election dates are confirmed.

An official of BCCI has also given an interview some days before. He has clearly stated that this picture could not be cleared until the exact dates for LokSabha elections are confirmed. These dates will help BCCI in determining that IPL 7 matches are possible in India, or some other country should be chosen for few or even all matches. If few matches could be arranged in India, then more chances will be in favor of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, due to their short journey from India.

But, no country could be confirmed for IPL 7 tournament, until it is officially announced by the BCCI officials. Until the LokSabha election dates are confirmed, BCCI is considering the options for conducting all matches outside India. There is no confusion but the right time will just start after the announcement of election dates.

BCCI is focusing LokSabha elections to be announced first because it does not want to face same situations as 2009. Nobody had thought that South Africa would be awarded to host IPL 2 tournament. There were various security threats that enforced BCCI to think about other options instead of India. IPL 2 had faced general elections and IPL 7 is going to face LokSabha elections. The right time for the announcement of IPL 7 schedule, will be after election dates announcement. When election dates will be announced, it will become easier for the BCCI to take the best decision regarding this matter.

Usually, IPL matches are set in the months of May and June, which are expected to clash with election dates. To avoid such situations, BCCI is not launching schedule for IPL 7. The lovers of IPL will have to wait until election dates are announced and confirmed as well.

According to some newspapers, South Africa has much lower chances to be selected for IPL 7, as it was nominated in 2009, because the relationships between the officials of BCCI and CSA are not good. Though, officials of BCCI are still saying that they will consider South Africa as a favorite option, if matches of IPL 7 need to be played outside India.

The latest media reports are telling that IPL 7 matches can be expected in two phases- in India and outside. If some matches could be played in India, then obviously such destinations would be selected that are easy to access. Due to which, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are nominated as the hot favorite options.
