For the Indian Railway, PNR is all Passenger Name Record which is 10 digit numbers that be located at the top left hand corner of the railway ticket which represent train reservation information of passenger(s) in Railways database.

This PNR Booking Enquiry is available only between 05:00 hrs to 23:00 hour's Indian standard time.

PNR is having almost all records of the passenger and railways. Passenger Name and travel Records are stored in the railways database at computer reservation system. PNR number is mostly used by the passenger for the enquiry about their seat availability in any train in any class whether it is in wait listed , RAC or confirm.


Birth Status Enquiry with PNR Number

One can check your birth status with the help of PNR number by Enquiring Online at Railways official Website www.indianrail.gov.in : To Check birth status click here and after that put your 10 digit PNR number in the box that will appear by you and then click on "Get Status" button.


Apart from this Railway provides many numbers for PNR Status enquiry


For cell phone: Write PNR [PNR NUMBER] and send to 54959
Write IRPNR [PNR number] to 57886
PNR [your PNR number] to 5676747


Direct PNR Status Enquiry from Landline Phone


Passengers can get the status of their birth by direct PNR Status Enquiry with the help of railway call centre for this one need is to call 139 from the fixed-line number (any land-line except Airtel) and follow the instructions the system will ask about PNR Number, after putting PNR number by pressing the 10 digit number system will automatically PNR status on the phone.

For BSNL Land-line users, this service comes without any cost.
