Maruti Next Small Car Celerio All Set To Be Launched

MUMBAI: Maruti Suzuki is all set to unveil its new car, Celerio. It is expected that Celerio will be launched by February mid, 2014. Celerio will replace Maruti A-Star globally, but in India Maruti will sell Celerio along with Estilo and A-Star.

The Design: Celerio will be featuring a short bonnet and a tall body, this car reflects Maruti New Edge Design language. This car will be rolling out from new platform and will be offered only in petrol engine as of now. The diesel version is also expected to roll out after some time.

It is featured with the relatively large headlamp on either side of two –slat grill and the Suzuki logo will be displayed between them. Getting into rear design, it is kept simple while its cabin and dashboard provides modern and up market feel.

The Mileage: The upcoming new hatch back Celerio will be available in both Automatic version and five speed manual transmission variant which will give mileage of 23.1 kmpl. Low weight and low rolling resistance tyres of Celerio is responsible for high mileage. The heaviest version is of 830 kg. Moreover, car’s significant aerodynamic design and less friction loss in engine enhances the efficiency of the Celerio.

The Pricings: This hatch back is likely to start from Rs.300000 to Rs. 500000.
