Mumbai, Dec, 25: Sachin Tendulkar Retirement from the One Day International (ODI) was a forced decision taken under the media pressure created during the poor show during the England series.

Was Sachin Tendulkar forced to retire from One Day Internationals’ ahead of the series against Pakistan? Has became buzz for Indian media who seen blaming BCCI for this by quoting that two selectors are not interested to include Sachin Tendulkar ODI against Pakistan.

BCCI chief Rajeev Shulka denied such report that BCCI had put any pressure on Sachin Tendulkar.

Former India skipper and cricket commetaitor Sunil Gavaskar who knows sachin very closely feels criticism from media and critics forced Sachin to quit ODIs.

Talking to an Indian news channel, Gavaskar said "I think he really cares for Indian cricket. May be whatever he saw, read and heard might have prompted him to make a call. But I feel, he knows his body well," said Gavaskar.

Sachin Tendulkar's slump in form forced everyone to point fingers on the master and his ability, especially after his poor run against England in the home series.

Tendulkar who has not played an ODI since Mar 2012, announced his retirement on Sunday, December 23 just before team selection meeting.

Sachin Tendulkar who is concerned about the team's preparation for the next World Cup, decided to call time on his ODI career.

Talking about the legendary cricketer's ODI retirement, Gavaskar felt criticism hurt the master which would have forced him to leave the one-day format.

"We are looking too far ahead. If he plays the next four Tests, that will take him to 198 and the next two tests will be later in the next year. It's almost a year down the road," Gavaskar told NDTV.

Earlier, it was Sunil Gavaskar and other former cricketers who urged the master blaster to talk to the selectors and take a call on his future on ground.

Now above comments on Sachin Tendulkar after the legend announced his retirement from ODI would contradict the views of Sunil Gawaskar.

It is certain that good number of followers watching cricket for Sachin tendilkar and they see no region to see ODI. Mahesh sinha a fan of Sachin Tendulkar said "I won’t watch ODI for now because it was Sachin Tendulkar for whom i was watching the cricket"
