
Atal Innovation Mission (AIM): It is government of India’s flagship initiative set up by the NITI Aayog to promote innovation and entrepreneurship across the length and breadth of the country, based on a detailed study and deliberations on innovation and entrepreneurial needs of India in the years ahead.

Components of AIM
Overview of ATAL Tinkling Labs (ATLs): ATLs are setup in school across India with vision cultivate one million children in India as Neoteric Innovators. ATL is a workplace where young children can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode and learn innovations skills.
AIM: To foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.
Financial Support: AIM will provide Rs 20 lakh grant-in-aid to the school that includes a one-time establishment cost of 10 lakh and operational expenses of Rs 10 Lakh for maximum period of 5 year to each ATL.
Eligibility: Schools (Minimum Grade VI TO X) Managed by government body, local body, private trust or society to set up ATL.

Tinker from Home Campaign: launched under ATLs program amid COVID-19 to ensure that the children across the country have access to useful easy to learn online resources to keep themselves fruitfully occupied.
CollabCAD: It is jointly launched by AIM and National Informatics Centre (NIC). It is a collaborative network and computer aided design (CAD) software system providing a total engineering solution from 2D drafting and detailing 3D product design
Game Development Module: It launched by AIM in partnership with DELL Technologies and Learning Links Foundation. It is an online platform where students can learn to create their own games and also share with others. It envisages to make students transition from Game Players to Game Makers.
