Narendra Modi Calls Lalu Prasad

Patna:Lalu Prasad, who faced head injury during a car accident on Friday night, got a surprize phone call from other end on Saturday. 

It was hot call from Gujarat chief minister, Narendra Modi, who rang him up to inquire about his health condition. Lalu Prasad thanked Narendra Modi for calling him up. 

On the other hand the JDU general secretary, Shivanand Tiwary, called on him to inquire about his health condition. However Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has not yet called on Lalu. Though it was just a courtesy call by Narendra Modi observers are exploring a political  meaning to it as the Gujarat CM has taken lead over his Nitish Kumar. 

BJP state president Mangal Pandey said Narendra Modi call to Lalu Prasad was out of courtesy."Narendra Modi has again proved that he cares even for critic like Lalu," Pandey said.

Lalu Prasad sustained injuries in his head and face when the windshield of his Toyata Innova accidently broke around 9:15 PM when Lalu was crossing Ganga on the Pontoon bridge near Kachchi Dargah on way to Raghopurto Raghopur in Vaishali district late on Friday evening.

The car got stuck in the middle of the bridge and due to the sudden jerk, the windshield broke. He was sitting on the front seat, sustained injuries in the head and his face also got grazed as the broken windshield glasses hit him.

Lalu Prasad was soon rushed to the Rajeshwar Hospital in Patna, where he was given medical support. After two stitches and bandages on his head, RJD leader was discharged from the hospital.

Meanwhile, on Saturday injured Lalu Prasad, as per programme, addressed public meetings in Vaishali district.
