Mumbai,July,22:Ramesh Gholap who born and frown up at Mahogaon village of Barshi taluka in Solapur district of Maharashtra has written the history by topping in the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) exam, scoring the highest ever marks of 1,244 out of 1,800.
Ramesh Gholap, who received some tips at Study Circle in Pune and from State Institute of Administrative Career, Mumbai to the quest of their journey.
Speaking after the result Gholap said, "I was confident I'd top the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) exams this year. I had already cleared UPSC examinations too with a 287 rank all over India. After the UPSC results, I was continuously giving lectures and attending the felicitation programmes."
Born in an economically underprivileged family, Ramesh Gholap lost his father when he was 12. "My mother Vimal sells bangles house-to-house, while elder brother Umesh works as safety manager in a private company at Solapur," said Ramesh Gholap.
His family was rehabilitated at another place after their village was declared project-affected. "After completing my graduation in arts, I joined as a primary teacher in a school, since I had also done my DEd.
As I got more and more involved in social activities, I thought of joining the administrative services to improve the system. So, in 2010, I quit my job and started preparing for the examination. I cleared both UPSC and MPSC," he added.
