Which Country Is Hot Favorite For IPL 7 Schedule?

MUMBAI: It is rooming all around that Indian Premier League 7 would not held in India, due to LokSabha elections. Three countries are in the hot news of many newspapers and on the media as well; Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and South Africa. Everybody wants to know that which country will be selected for the next Indian Premier League tournament.

Few days ago, “The Indian Express” has published a report in which it has revealed that though it is too early to tell about the final destination- as nobody had thought that South Africa would be selected for the IPL2 tournament but BCCI selected it due to many uncertain security threats in India. That time general elections and this time BCCI is facing LokSabha election. Due to this reason, and there is an example of 2009, the IPL Schedule cannot be confirmed until the last moment of announcement by the BCCI.

An official of BCCI gave an interview to newspaper in which he said that picture would remain unclear until the LokSabha elections are announced. Only then, the BCCI will be able to examine that whether it would be possible for them to conduct few matches of IPL 7 in India, or they have to select a country for all matches. The BCCI is considering such situation, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka can be the most favorite countries for short journeys. The official concluded that there is doubt on the BCCI end but all IPL lovers have to wait until the election dates are announced.

The official added that same situation was happened during IPL 2, when general elections were polling in India, and South Africa was chosen as a host. It was not in the mind of anybody that South Africa would host IPL 2 matches. Same position is now and this time BCCI is facing LokSabha elections. So, the right time for this announcement will be after hearing the election dates.

Usually, Indian Premier League tournaments are conducted in the months of May and June, if same months are selected for elections, then tournament might clash with it. Due to this reason, cricket lovers have to wait more until the dates for LokSabha elections are announced. In the meanwhile, BCCI is working on the planning the schedule for different options.

But, South Africa is not as hot favorite but it could be expected. Media sources are not sure about any destination until it is announced by the official of BCCI. Before the announcement of LokSabha election dates, it is not possible to discuss any country as final option for IPL 7 tournament.

IPL 7 matches are expected in two phases- in India and outside India. In the recent few years, the terms between the CSA and BCCI are not good. But, officials are considering it as a favorite option for IPL 7 tournament.

Every year, IPL matches are conducted in the months of May and June. If LokSabha elections dates are announced by the same months, then BCCI would have to consider 

IPL 7 matches are conducted in the months of April and May, if the same months are selected for the LokSabha elections, then BCCI would have to consider security threats. IPL lovers would be able to hear about IPL 7 schedule just after the announcement of election dates.
