The mPassport Seva App is a digital step further to connecting the Indian population with an easily accessible way that facilitates faster creation of passports. The application was launched on June 26th during “Sixth Passport Seva Divas” by Sushma Swaraj, the minister of External Affairs. The Bugs

The app might be a great addition to the current stature of the airline industry in India, however, the app might have some bugs. You might notice a glitch during the process of login which might require time and presence. Not just that, one might also observe abrupt crashing while you are trying to fill up the form. The thing you can do here is save your form details before the app crashes down so as to make it easier the next time you want to fill up the form.

The Application Process

Create or log into the account by using login-id and password followed by the solving of a captcha.

You can see the option to apply for a fresh passport.

Now, click the very first option in order to apply for the fresh passport or maybe if you want to re-issue a passport.

After to get to the application form, you need to fill up all the required details for the 9-page long form.

Ensure that all those pages are saved as you fill one by one as the app tends to crash a lot.

Once you fill up the form, you can select a close by passport office of your choice.

As you select the passport office that is feasibly close to your current location, the app will reveal the dates available for you to get verified for further progression of the passport generation process.

Other Features

The application although slowed down with bugs, certainly has some good use case with features such as access to current status of your passport application along with the RTI status. In order to check this out, you have to enter the file number along with your birth date. For RTI status check, you can enter your reference number for the RTI and get the update.
