BPSC Latest Moderation Saga Came Quite Heavy For The Meritorious Candidates

PATNA: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) latest moderation saga came quite heavy for the meritorious candidates as merit seems to have discouraged under the moderation umbrella which is not so transparent.

An applicant who appeared in the 53rd -55th BPSC Civil Services Examination with the optional paper History and Hindi Sahitya says that "I have paid the price of illogical moderation applied by the BPSC while releasing the mains result"

"I am a competent student twice appeared in the interview ,done well in the examination was expecting better position but my name is not in the successful students list ,It is further embracing situation for me when i see those candidates who hasn't done well in the mains examination are interviewed by the BPSC" says the candidate.

This is not the situation with only single candidates but several competent candidates shown the gate under the moderation system which was applied this year by the BPSC.

The candidates who felt deprived has launched a concentrated effort and get connected themselves on a facebook page titled BPSC fighter group and given their fight a legal shape by lodging case in the Patna High Court.

The group has presented their case very strongly in the court whose hearing has been done and judgment was reserved.

During the High Court proceeding BPSC's Council always seen pushing the argument that commission has applied the system which has been adopted by the UPSC, MPSC, KPSC, GPSC and other commission across the country. When justice has asked them to present the formula of moderation, they were unable to do so.

The reading of hearing argument suggests that case is going to the favor of the petitioners.

The final stage Interview has also concluded on July 5 by BPSC and commission was looking to release the final result, it is an irony how such constitutional institution are working care free.
