DELHI: The measures suggested by the Second Administrative reform commission (ARC) and have been totally accepted by the government and placed at the Public Domain few months ago. As per new move, there is reduction in age limit as well as number of attempts for IAS aspirants.

As per the recommendation of second ARC which is completely accepted by the centre government, the new upper age limit for the Civil service aspirant will be 29 years for SC/ST, 28 years for the OBC and 26 years for General candidates and this will be effective from 2015 exam.

At present the upper age limit for SC/ST, OBC and Unreserved Category are 35, 33 and 32 years.

Moreover, According to the information published on Department of Academic Information and Public Grievances the numbers of attempts have been reduced too, SC/SC will have six, OBC will have five and General will have only 3 from 2015 examination onwards.

Meanwhile, the above recordation is accepted by the central government, but Department of Personal and Training (DoPT) has yet to notify the same. As per the sources a senior government official said “The very fact that the government’s decision has been mentioned. it can be implemented only by fulfilling the mandatory administrative requirements”.

What the bloddy hell is this. Goverment had gone mad. it seems that it going to be fucked very soon. they are playing with the sentiments of ias asprents. anupam kumar tripathi   regarding the reduction of age for civil services exam- By anupam kumar tripathi

Government must understand that a student from rural background generally completes its graduation in the age of 24-25 and on one hand the governement wants mature candidates for civil services and on the other hand it is reducing the age limit for the civil services examination. Both the things can't happen simultaneously and this was the BJP, who opposed the move of UPA government in the favour of rural background students and supported the student agitation against CSAT and this time when BJP is in power, doing the same thing like UPA government. By reducing the age limit for the civil services government is showing its is double faced. There is no difference between UPA governemnt and BJP government.
