More Time To Prepare And More Vacancies, UPPSC Prelims Postponed Tentatively Till July 2017

Uttar Pradesh Public Service commission has postponed the UPPSC preliminary examination 2017, and tentatively the examination will be held by the end week of July or first week of August. The updated dates will be out by May 2017.New advertisement regarding UPPSC examination will be anywhere available on official website uppsc.up.nic.in. !5 day window will be available for the registration thereafter.

Following are other important announcements:

  • In the anticipated UPPSC pre examination 2017, 49 posts of Block Development Officer will be added, making the total number of seats to 300.Earlier it was announced to be held for 251 seats.
  • Also there was a buzz that 211 posts for Block Education Officer will be added in UPPSC 2017 but amid some contradiction between the UP government under Yogi Adityanath and officials, these posts will not be contended for this year but hopefully will be included in exam advertisement for UPPSC 2018.
  • UPPSC has been trying for the past two years to completely scrap out General Studies paper, also known as Paper II in CSAT, post the CSAT-2013 affected candidates were granted relief by Yoginath government. This demand has yet not been officially fulfilled though oral consent has already been granted by the government.
  • As per new advertisement, the age criteria for general category student will be 44 years, and 49 years for OBC/SC/ST category candidates as and in reference to the cut-off date.
  • Also any fresh candidates can apply for UPPSC and not just CSAT-2013 affected candidates.
