On the morning of June 12, 2025, Air India flight AI-171 bound for London crashed just three minutes after takeoff from Ahmedabad Airport. The tragedy claimed 241 onboard lives and left 33 dead on the ground.
Search teams, first responders, and air crash investigators arrived within 45 minutes of the explosion site — a charred field 5.6 km from the runway. Debris was scattered over a 3 km radius.
Miraculously, one passenger survived the disaster — Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a 40-year-old British national of Indian origin. He was seated in seat 11A, a location near the emergency exit.
Reports indicate a structural rupture allowed him to escape seconds before fire engulfed the aircraft. He is currently recovering at Ahmedabad City Hospital with multiple fractures and second-degree burns.
"I didn’t think I’d make it. Everything exploded. But somehow, I slipped through a break near my seat. I ran," said Vishwash in a brief statement.
The crash took the life of Vijay Rupani, former Chief Minister of Gujarat. He was traveling with two aides for a business summit in London.
In a strange twist, the crash occurred on June 12 (12/06) — a number tied to Rupani for years. Sources say “1206” featured in his car registration, official pin codes, and even campaign IDs.
Social media is ablaze with theories connecting the date and his demise, with #1206Mystery and #RupaniCrash trending in India and abroad.
Spiritualists and numerologists are now weighing in on the uncanny “1206” coincidence and the seat “11A” survival story. Some claim cosmic patterns, while others point to political symbolism.
PM Narendra Modi offered condolences, while the UK Prime Minister called it a “terrible loss” and praised the survival of Vishwash Kumar as “a rare light in immense darkness.”
Two days of state mourning have been declared in Gujarat, and Air India has grounded 12 similar Boeing aircraft pending inspections.
This tragedy raises serious questions about aviation safety, emergency protocols, and even the mysteries of fate. One man's survival has sparked global headlines. One number — 1206 — continues to haunt the narrative.
